Why is my microphone not working in the browser?
Check browser permission, operating-system privacy settings, mute state and the selected input device. Close other apps that may have exclusive access and reload the test after changing permissions.
How do I know which microphone my browser is using?
Where the browser exposes device selection, choose the intended input and speak while watching the level meter. If device labels are hidden, granting microphone permission can allow the browser to identify available inputs.
Why is my microphone volume very low?
Low system input gain, distance from the microphone, incorrect device selection, hardware mute controls or noise-processing software can all reduce the visible input level.
Is my microphone audio uploaded or recorded?
The test analyzes the live stream locally in your browser. The implementation does not intentionally upload or store microphone audio.
Why is the microphone waveform flat?
