How the measurement works
The page reads the public-facing address and approximate location information presented by your current connection, then displays only the network details needed for the result.
How to interpret results
IPv4 uses dotted-decimal addresses while IPv6 uses colon-separated hexadecimal groups. The shown address is public-facing; it may belong to a VPN, carrier NAT, office gateway or proxy rather than the device itself.
Troubleshooting tips
If the address is unavailable, refresh the page or try another browser or network. If the location looks wrong, disable a VPN or proxy for comparison and remember that IP geolocation is approximate.
