How to use this test
Choose solid colors, grayscale, gradient, contrast, banding or uniformity patterns and enter fullscreen for inspection. Use the on-screen Previous/Next controls or arrow keys to cycle patterns without exiting fullscreen.
How the measurement works
The browser renders controlled CSS color and gradient patterns that make clipping, banding, uneven backlighting and obvious color shifts easier to inspect visually.
How to interpret results
Smooth gradients should look gradual rather than stepped, solid colors should appear reasonably uniform, and contrast patterns should remain distinct. Visual inspection cannot replace calibrated instruments.
Troubleshooting tips
Disable night-light or color-filter modes, use the monitor's normal picture preset and check another source if you see banding or tint. HDR and wide-gamut modes can change browser appearance.
