Most device tests run directly in your browser. Personal-best scores are saved locally on your device when a tool supports them.
Camera and microphone
Camera and microphone tools ask for permission before they start. Their preview and level checks are designed to run locally in the browser, and active tracks are stopped when the test ends.
Network tools
IP and speed tests use the public network information presented by your connection. Speed testing sends temporary test traffic to an external measurement service, where your public IP and technical network measurements may be processed or included in public measurement datasets.
