Key Press Speed Test
Choose a key and measure physical presses per second, fastest burst and personal best.
How to use this test
Choose Space, Enter, A, S, D or define a custom key, select a duration and start the round. Configuration controls are ignored while actual key presses are being measured.
How the measurement works
Matching keydown events are counted only when they are genuine presses; event.repeat is ignored so holding a key cannot inflate the score.
How to interpret results
Presses per second is most useful for comparing the same key and duration. Different switches, laptop mechanisms and finger positions can produce different results.
Troubleshooting tips
If the wrong key is counted, reset and select the target again before starting. Check keyboard layout, browser focus and key-remapping software if input does not match.

Common key speed questions
What is a good key presses-per-second score?
There is no universal target because different keys, switches and fingers behave differently. Use the same key and duration for repeatable personal comparisons rather than comparing unrelated setups.
