Touchscreen Tests

Touchscreen Test

Touch or drag across a grid to map responsive cells, coordinates and coverage percentage.

Why results may vary

A browser test can reveal missed areas during use, but cannot certify hardware repair status.

How to use this test

Use a real finger on the test grid and drag across different areas of the screen. Touched cells remain highlighted so you can map coverage before resetting.

How the measurement works

The page accepts only PointerEvent input whose pointerType is touch, converts touch coordinates into grid cells and records coverage percentage.

How to interpret results

Untouched cells are not automatically faulty; deliberately cover the whole grid. Repeatedly unresponsive regions in the same physical area may justify testing another app or hardware diagnostic.

Troubleshooting tips

Remove gloves, clean the display and temporarily remove a problematic screen protector. Mouse clicks are intentionally ignored because they do not validate touchscreen hardware.
